The Prophet’s speech about enjoining good and forbidding evil
Ibn ‘Umar RA narrated that the Messenger of Alláh saww said:
“O people! Enjoin righteousness and forbid evil before a time comes when you invoke Alláh, but He will not accept your invocation, and you will seek His forgiveness, but He will not forgive you. Verily, enjoining righteousness does not shorten life. Verily, when the Jewish rabbis and Christian monks abandoned enjoining righteousness and forbidding evil, Alláh cursed them by the words of their Prophets and surrounded them with affliction.
